BOROUGH OF MORRIS PLAINS 2019 SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED:

The Morris Plains Recreation Commission is pleased to announce the 2019 Summer Recreation Program. The programs this year offer a wide range of activities for the children in Morris Plains. Registration forms will be available at the Morris Plains Community Center and on the Borough Web site: www.morrisplainsboro.org. Registration will begin at the Community Center on April 24, 2019.

MORRIS PLAINS RECREATION HAS OPEN POSITION FOR A "SUPPORT COUNSELOR" TO WORK WITH THE TEEN SUMMER PROGRAM:

Morris Plains Recreation Commission is seeking to employ a "Support Counselor" for the Recreation Commission's Teen Summer Program.

Essential job duties include assisting a camper with diabetes management, including but not limited to the injection of glucagon in an emergency situation during the Teen Summer Program activities.

Essential Job Requirements:

 Must be at least 18 years of age as of June 2019.
 Must be available to work July 1, 2019 to August 2, 2019, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to Noon and until 2 PM on Fridays.
 Prior to July 1, 2019 the selected applicant must successfully complete a Diabetes Educational Class as designated by the Borough, which class includes an overview of diabetes, its symptoms and the procedures for addressing severe hypoglycemia emergencies, including Glucagon Administration Training, to demonstrate the selected applicant has satisfactory knowledge, skill and competency to administer glucagon, a lifesaving medication for diabetics.
 Prior to July 1, 2019, the selected applicant must be certified in CPR and First Aid.

MORRIS PLAINS RECREATION ANNOUNCES SPRING PROGRAMS AT MOUNTAIN WAY SCHOOL:

Morris Plains Recreation has announced two Spring Programs at Mountain Way School.

The programs ate titled "Relays & Recess Remedies" and "Spring Gardening".

Both programs are for children in grades K - 5.
