ORDINANCE NO. 9-2011

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 14-2010 CONCERNING COMPENSATION FOR RECREATION DIRECTOR AND CREATING RECREATION COORDINATOR POSITION                         

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14-2010, an ordinance concerning Salaries and Longevity Pay was adopted by the Borough Council on December 16th 2010; and                          

WHEREAS, the Borough Council is desirous of amending said Ordinance for the purpose of amending the annual compensation for the position of Recreation Director and creating the position of Recreation Coordinator.                        

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Morris Plains, they being the Governing Body thereof, as follows: 

Section 1:             Section 1 of the aforesaid Ordinance which fixes the salaries and/or hourly compensation for certain enumerated Borough Officials, Employees and Positions, is hereby amended and supplemented as follows:            

By inserting after “Department of Public Works Part Time Help Laborer $8.25 to $15.00 per hour”

Recreation Director                             $5,000.00        to         $25,000.00 per year            

By inserting after “Recreation Director $5,000.00 to $25,000.00 per year”the following: 

Title                                                     Wage 

Recreation Coordinator                      $5,000.00        to         $25,000.00 per year 

Section 2             The abovesaid salary for Recreation Director and Recreation Coordinator respectively are hereby effective May 1st 2011. 

Section 3             All other provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance shall be unaffected and are hereby continued. 

Section 4             All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
