The Borough of Morris Plains has a comprehensive communication system to share news and alerts. To stay informed, please review and engage in the five Borough-approved communication methods below.

Method 1: RAVE Alerts from the Morris Plains Police Department

The RAVE alert system is utilized by the Morris Plains Police Department to notify residents of road closures, upcoming events, impending severe weather, and other news. Once you register, you can request to receive notifications via text message, phone call and/or email.

Method 2: Weekly Email Newsletter

  • Sign up for the weekly email newsletter that is sent from the Borough on Friday mornings.

Method 3: Plains Talk Quarterly Newsletter

Plains Talk is mailed to all households in the Borough four times per year.

Method 4: Social Media

The Borough of Morris Plains maintains an official Facebook page. Information on any other page is not verified by the Borough and should be confirmed directly with the Borough before being acted upon.

Please note: The Borough’s social media outlets are for informational purposes only. The Borough does not respond to inquiries sent or posted on social media. Please contact the Borough Clerk or the appropriate department with specific questions/comments. You may also attend Borough meetings to inquire directly with the Mayor and Council.

Method 5: Email, Telephone and In-Person

You can access the Department and Staff Directory to find telephone and email addresses for Borough staff and elected officials.

The Borough of Morris Plains welcomes the public to participate in public meetings. Check the Borough Calendar for topics and dates.

Borough Hall and other Borough buildings have been closed to the public for much of 2020 and into 2021 due to the Covid-19 virus. We look forward to serving you in person once it is safe to reopen, or by appointment.

Morris Plains Borough Hall and Annex Buildings re-opened to the Public beginning Monday June 7 and will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30am-4:30pm. We will resume regular business hours on July 1. 
The drop/lock box will still be available in the lobby.
 
The Community Center re-opened to the public Monday, June 14 and is open  Monday through Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm.
