Public Health Nursing
The Morris Plains Board of Health employs a Public Health Nurse who administers vaccines, investigates communicable diseases, promotes and administers health screenings and monitors immunizations in schools. See right sidebar for contact info.
Blood pressure screenings are currently held the 2nd Monday of every month from 1-3pm at the community center for seniors and the 4th Wednesday of every month from 10-12pm at the Morris Plains Library.
In collaboration with the Morris Plains Public Health Nurse, the Board of Health works to inform the community of current health issues and acts as a point of reference for health education. Specific areas of focus are preventative efforts to eliminate drug and alcohol abuse, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and the planning and execution of community programs.
We urge you to become familiar with the services offered and to participate in our personal health programs published in the borough web site, Plains Talk and town calendar. We are always open to suggestions and willing to answer your questions. Explore more information using the links below.
