The North Jersey Association of Community Bands will be presenting a concert in Morris Plains by the North Jersey Composite Band on Sunday, August 15, 2021 (rain date – the following Sunday, August 22nd). The location is Roberts Garden Park, 99 Mountain Way, Morris Plains. The concert is free and is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a 20 minute intermission.

The band will be comprised of over eighty musicians from among the 48 member groups of the North Jersey Association of Community Bands. Many members of the Morris Plains Community Band will be participating in this event. Other musicians will be coming from the town bands of Bloomfield, Bloomingdale, Chatham, Denville, Franklin, Hackettstown, Hanover Twp., Lambertville, Mendham, Montclair, Rutherford, Westfield, West Orange and Whitehouse Station among others, some from as far away as Pennsylvania.

The program will include marches, selections from Broadway and Hollywood, light classical and patriotic songs. Several different directors from the participating bands will share the baton conducting the band in different numbers.
