Morris Plains Senior Citizen Group
Purpose
The Morris Plains Senior Citizen group is open to all senior citizens in Morris Plains to provide opportunities for social interaction, education, and recreation.
Monthly meetings may have speakers or an activity. A summer picnic is held at the Community Park Pavilion and during the winter holiday season they enjoy a luncheon at Rod’s Restaurant. The senior group are also invited to participate in bus day trips organized by Long’s Travel.
Membership
Members currently pay dues of $15.00 per year. The Borough Council provides a subsidy for their activities, and the Morris Plains Municipal Alliance Committee partners with the Senior Citizen Group to offer speakers and food for Lunch & Learn meetings.
If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Peter Dombrowski, President at Preterdee@aol.com or 973-605-2826.
Meetings
The Senior Group meets on the second Monday of the month, except July, at the Morris Plains Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Drive.
