Schedule

Garbage will be picked up every Monday and Thursday. Please put your containers on the curb the night before. Please note the following changes to this schedule for holidays.

Weather Interruptions

Our contracted garbage hauler will do their best to pick-up as scheduled. If they do not come on garbage day, it is due to an emergency or it is unsafe to travel due to weather.

As a general guidance, we recommend that you put your garbage out the night before the scheduled days. We will try our best to alert residents in advance if there is a change in the schedule via the Morris Plains Borough website, or email alert.

Since weather is so unpredictable, we will not always have the answer the night before. Please check the website home page for updates.

Large/Heavy Item Pick-Up

Residents may put one large item on the curb for each Thursday pick-up. This may include things like a refrigerator with door removed, or an air conditioner. If you have a large quantity of heavy or bulky items, please arrange to have them hauled away at your own expense.
